Capital Small Finance Bank Limited headquarters is in Jalandhar, Punjab, India. After the conversion of Capital Local Area Bank, the bank began operations on April 24, 2016, becoming the first small finance bank in India.
Before the changes to a Small Finance Bank, Capital Local Area Bank was operating as India’s largest local area bank since January 14, 2000.
The bank has a strong business position in Punjab and is now beginning to expand into the combined territories of Chandigarh, Delhi, Haryana, and Rajasthan.
Capital Small Finance Bank received Scheduled status according to the notification from the Reserve Bank of India dated February 16, 2017.
