Bank of Maharashtra has become one of the major banks in the Indian public sector. It owns a wider portfolio of banking and financial products & services. Besides, it offers these services to customers online as well as offline platform. In general, if you desire to avail of services offline, you need to visit the bank branch. Therefore, you should be aware of the bank’s business hours so that you can prevent services from failing.
The bank did not reschedule its business hours. Instead, it takes other measures including reduced staff and COVID-19 regulatory package, etc. Evidently, BOM decided on these measures to safeguard staff along with customers.
BOM Branch Timings
The bank is operational from Monday to Friday. It is also open on Saturdays but only on 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays. The operational time slot of the bank is from 10:00 am to 05:00 pm.
It remains closed on certain days. Therefore, make sure to avoid visiting the bank these days. The bank branch is not operational on the following days:
- 2nd & 4th Saturdays.
- All Sundays of every month.
- Public holidays include national as well as local holidays.
(Important note: Due to the Corona pandemic in India, the bank recommends customers avoid coming to the branch. It emphasizes using the online platform more to maintain social distancing.)
RTGS & NEFT Timings
RTGS transactions take place on Weekdays as well as working Saturdays. It may include Monday to Friday and 1st, 3rd & 5th Saturdays. The time window for RTGS transactions is from 08:00 am to 04:30 pm.
NEFT transactions take place hourly in batches. Moreover, it works on weekdays along with working Saturdays. So, the time slot for NEFT transactions is from 08:00 am to 07:00 pm.
It should be noted that employees take lunch breaks on a rotational basis. Obviously, the main aim is to safeguard the convenience of customers in availing of banking services. The usual lunch break time slot is between 01:00 pm to 03:00 pm. Therefore, you can visit the branch anytime during working hours.
Locker Time Slot
Importantly, note that the bank offers locker facilities only during business hours at the branch. Furthermore, it is applicable to both types of customers. These customers include customers who already have lockers in banks and prospective customers for lockers. It clearly implies that lockers do not operate beyond the bank’s business hours.
